There is a drop in surgery at Grenoside every morning from 08:45 - 10.15
On Thursday afternoons from 13:00 to 14:30 no clinical appointments are available - reception is open for prescription collection, booking appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions in person. Telephone calls will continue to transfer to the Sheffield GP Collaborative.
Please note the surgery closes on one Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon a month from 13:00 for staff training purposes. The Out-of-Hours Service provides cover during these times.
We provide a late evening surgery on Tuesdays between 18:30 - 20:15 (and one Monday per month). There is also a practice nurse available at these times. Please note this is for pre-booked appointments only and aimed at those patients who are unable to attend during normal surgery hours. It is not an emergency service and requests for urgent appointments will still need to go through our Out-of-Hours provider.
There is no telephone access to the surgery at this time although patients may come for prescriptions or to make enquiries.
When We Are Closed
For urgent medical help outside of normal surgery hours please call the main number of your surgery (0114 240 3159) and your call will be transferred to the Sheffield PCT out-of-hours service provider.
You can also attend one of the following local facilities:
NHS Walk-in Centre (adults and children)
Rockingham House, 75 Broad Lane, Sheffield S1 3PB. Telephone: 0114 241 2700. The centre is open between 08:00 - 22:00, 365 days a year.
Minor Injuries Unit at the Royal Free Hallamshire Hospital. The unit treats minor sprains, cuts bruies and minor burns.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
